Students in Year 10 and 11 studying for GCSE Qualifications

The first experience any child has of "real" examinations, ones that truly matter, are the GCSEs!

Whether we agree or disagree about our government's decision to place such importance on English Language and Mathematics qualifications at GCSE level, your son/daughter's future rests on the results of these two subjects.

GCSE English, English Literature and Maths are now tested by 100% examinations at the end of Year 11. Preparation and revision for these final tests is essential to secure a positive outcome, and opening doors to the next chapter of their life.

GCSE English Language

and Literature

At 'Love to Learn', we can help your child gain a secure level of confidence about their knowledge and understanding of each of the set texts at GCSE. We can also help create revision plans, offer advise & practical tips about sitting examinations and provide clear essay writing structures.

Showing the pupils how to analyse an extract from a piece of literature is a key skill required at GCSE level, so we will ensure that this decoding becomes a natural technique.

GCSE Maths

The Maths GCSE exam is made up of 6 parts: Number; Algebra; Ratio, Proportion and Rates of Change; Geometry and Measures; Probability and Statistics. We will support your child to learn and feel confident and able to answer questions about all of these topics. We will ensure that all students are ready, prepared and provided with all the necessary skills and tools needed for all 3 final examinations at the end of Year 11.
